Prodigal Paradox (Luke 15)

A lostness that goes on,
a finding that remains;
sheep that come and go,
scattering when it rains.

Coins that are recovered
to roll away again;
younger sons returned
a year and gone for ten.

Nothing can be welcomed
unless it first be strayed;
no one ever wandered,
everyone has stayed.
