Are you or someone you know a mid-career pastor in a time of transition?
Next Frontiers is a program co-funded by the Lilly Endowment and Westmont College designed to help mid-career pastors thrive in congregational leadership during times of transition in ministry.
We are recruiting now for the 2027 cohort. The application deadline is October 1, 2026.
The program is open to any pastor, in any denomination, with at least 8 years pastoral experience. We invite applications from pastors who may benefit from a year long program of spiritual direction and collegiality. Next Frontiers is not a credentialing program and is designed for already busy pastors, so it requires around an hour aweek (for coaching and spiritual direction) and attendance at two three-day in person retreats, the first in Scotts Valley, California and the second in Mexico City. The program is very strong, is heavily subsidized, and has off the charts feedback from participants.
