As our readers are aware, Conversatio Divina has a focused intention on honoring the legacy of Dallas Willard by placing his work in the context of other thought and praxis leaders who have developed methods of authentic Christian formation which have stood the test of time. As part of this mission, the “Four Critical Concerns” of Dallas Willard are used for an organizational structure.
One of the many voices that sings in harmony with Dallas Willard is St. Ignatius of Loyola. A few months back Trevor Hudson wrote an essay titled, Building a Bridge Between Christ-Followers, where he reflected what he has learned from his 35-year history of giving the Spiritual Exercises.
In this six-part series titled, Reimagining the Spiritual Exercises as Transforming Friendship. Following this series introduction, five essays will follow and guide us through the “disposition days” and then the four “weeks” or movement of the Spiritual Exercises. \
Each of these six articles will be drawn from Trevor’s wealth of familiarity with Spiritual Exercise of St Ignatius and also provide a practical exercise for the personal experience of the reader.
