You may be aware that Conversatio Divina focuses on the “golden threads” of Christian spiritual formation which are found woven through Church history and up to recent contributions of Dallas Willard. Several times a year we remind you of contributions from the Ancient Faith.
This week, we want to call your attention to our friend Chris Hall’s recently published book, titled, We Believe: Experiencing the Creed through Ancient African Christianity, Volume 2.
This book is the 2nd in what will be a four-volume series in the We Believe series, which celebrates the rich legacy of the African church in offering profound theological insights that shaped the Nicene Creed.
You may also be interested in the first volume in this series, which was published in October of 2024.
And if you wish to search for more resources from Chris Hall, on the Conversatio website, we suggest that you start with his Foundations of Spirituality Class, which he taught at Eastern University. This series of lectures explores our Christian spiritual heritage.
And, if you have not stepped into the desert with Chris Hall to explore the contributions of a variety of abbas and ammas concerning how to battle with vices and cultivate virtues—you will want to make the trip. For even a deeper dive, see the leader’s guide by Ali Male.
