This Dallas Willard message is so good, it’s worth listening to at least twice.
It is the mid-80’s and Dallas Willard’s teaching is starting to sound more and more like what he became known for in his later life. This talk from the series titled, Things that Accompany Salvation, hits on eight topics which, says Dallas, “ought to be a natural part of being saved.”
[Editor’s Note: We are still missing lecture #6 on “Prosperity”. If you might have it or any old Willard cassettes please get in touch!]
Before you hit that button to listen, read the quotes below to whet your appetite.
“Humility is the greatest freedom that you’ll ever enter into.”
“God made things to work. Believe me he did! Sweat does not enter until after the curse.”
“The greatest prison that we have is self.”
“Humility comes later in spiritual growth. Normally, the very fact that God does something for us is upsetting in our early life, because it touches our pride.”
“Do you ever think what a statement it is about Jesus that even after his resurrection some of his best friends mistook him for the gardener?”
“Humility is based upon a high view of God and others, not upon a low view of the self.”
