Theories of Divine Transformation: Understanding How God Changes Lives

Have you ever wondered what it is about God that causes human transformation? Or perhaps what it is about us that makes us capable of being transformed by God?

In late May, the Martin Institute hosted over 80 interdisciplinary scholars and ministry practitioners at Westmont College for the 2nd annual Christian Formation Workshop. The theme of the workshop was “Theories of Divine Transformation: Understanding How God Changes Lives.” Participants examined theories of divine transformation and considered their practical implications.

We are pleased to announce that the workshop videos and content are now available at conversatio.org!

We plan to release the content in three parts over the next three weeks.

This week features:

Opening comments from Martin Institute Executive Director, by Steve Porter
Part One of the Workshop: “Biblical and Theological Perspectives on God’s Transformational Work,” with Tremper Longman (Westmont), Nijay Gupta (Northern Seminary), Michael Gorman (St. Mary’s Seminary), Holly Beers (Westmont College), Simeon Zahl (Cambridge University), Angela Carpenter (Hope College), Adonis Vidu (Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary), and Lisa Igram (Biola University).
