A few years after the passing of Dallas Willard, the Martin Institute conducted video-interviews of a few individuals who were close to him. Among them were the love of his life, Jane Willard, and a few others who knew him well, John Ortberg, J.P. Moreland, Trevor Hudson, and the author of Dallas Willard Biography, Becoming Dallas Willard, Gary Moon.
The genesis of this project can be traced back to a pub in London. There, Avo Adourian—an alumnus of the Renovaré Institute London Cohort, and fellow of the Martin Institute Cultura Fellowship at Westmont College—and Gary Moon discussed the interviews that he was conducting in preparation to writing Dallas’s biography. Avo, profoundly influenced by Willard himself, wanted to document and archive in video from a few leaders, thinkers, and companions who had, in their own unique ways, been touched by the wisdom and friendship of Dallas Willard—a tribute rendered in the form of a documentary project.
