In this essay, we have attempted to offer an overview of the mission of the Conversatio Divina (conversatio.org) website, provide an overview of Willard’s four concerns, and to explain why we choose to feature the voices of ancient Christian spirituality, Ignatian spirituality and Dallas Willard. Willard’s core commitments shaped his entire academic and ministry career. Perhaps he knew he was building an important platform for supporting the most important work to be done on the planet, the renovation of the human heart through direct experience with Real Presence.
