As you establish a new rhythm for the new year, it might be good to revisit some foundational teaching from Dallas that encourages our efforts and offers the assurance that we really can become more like Christ if we will practice his kind of life.

Dallas’ two sessions on the disciplines build upon his book The Spirit of the Disciplines by describing the life out of which doing the disciplines make sense. Willard’s two sessions of that day were also called “The Spiritual Disciplines: Making Growth Possible.”
