One of Christ’s most radical attributes was his audacious acceptance of people of every race, tribe, and social and moral standing. In the early church, Paul the Apostle leaned with more force into this kingdom hospitality by literally listing the tribes, societal casts, and genders that were now counted as kin in the family of God. Many have come after Christ and Paul echoing this same critical truth with their own voice and language, yet the longing and vision of both Christ and Paul are clearly visible in all of them.
