Dallas was one of the invited speakers at a conference hosted by Wycliffe Hall of Oxford University and Beeson Divinity School and by their respective directors, Alister McGrath and Timothy George. The conference attempted to answer the perceived dichotomy between solid evangelical teaching and a robust life of faith. Dallas's main message, later transcribed and published, takes aim at this issue, for Dallas generally thought that theology was at the core of our problems in the spiritual life.
