Increasingly known for "spiritual formation," Dallas was the invited speaker for the 1999 Spiritual Formation Conference which was hosted by the Bannockburn Institute at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Dallas was always keen to point out that spiritual formation is an unavoidable process and not necessarily Christian.
